DBA/CIR/#01/2013-14                                                                                                                                  Date: 19th March 2013.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The New Academic session 2013-14 will commence from the 2nd April 2013. We take this opportunity to thank the Almighty for His countless blessings showered on all of us during the last session and we pray for His constant generosity, guidance and mercy for today and in the future.

ISC (+2) SYLLABI-Revision (Designed to make it more relevant to competitive Examinations): The council made a detailed review and comparative study with other National, International and State Boards. The council has revised the syllabus in a manner relevant to competitive examinations like the Pre-Medical Tests, IIT-JEE for admission to Medical and Engineering Institutes across the country. It is also designed to meet requirements and skills essential for competitive examinations in India and abroad and has been made more student friendly.

Private Vehicles/Auto-Rickshaws: - Many of you have made arrangements for your wards to commute to school and back in private Maruti Vans and Auto-Rickshaws. We have been observing that these conveyances, especially auto-rickshaws are overloading their vehicles which are a danger in itself.

We had, in one of our earlier circulars to you, informed you that Maruti Vans and Auto rickshaws- being used as conveyance for students – utilize domestic LPG as fuel- which is against the regulations laid down by the Government (Transport Department) and may be dangerous to the lives of your children. We request our parents/guardians to take necessary action to ensure the safety of your children.

Discipline:    Your attention is drawn to the school diary on page 18 –important Rules on Discipline.   We need to work together in this regard in order to avoid unpleasant scenes outside the school campus, especially after dismissal.

The usage of abusive language in buses while commuting to school and back must stop.

Students are not allowed to bring mobile phones to school. This has been mentioned before; such cell phones found in the possession of students will be confiscated and will not be returned. Your cooperation in this connection is solicited.

Punctuality: Many students, especially those who commute on bicycles, vans, auto-rickshaws, cycle rickshaws and on foot – make a practice of coming late every morning. Such student/s will be sent back home. Therefore parents/guardians, kindly take necessary steps to ensure that your ward/s reach school in time for the morning assembly.

Uniform policy. : A small number of boys and girls regularly (seems to modify) ignore the regulations with regard to correct attire/appearance at school. The school Uniform is a symbol of the school and a public declaration   of its values, standards   and beliefs. It creates a sense of collective and individual pride in students and their identification with the   institution. It is a symbol of equality among students and demonstrates mutual respect.

Therefore the uniform must be worn respectfully at all times and parents are requested to cooperate and assist the school and enable their children to adhere to the uniform regulations.

Shoes: The only shoes that should be worn with our uniform are black leather lace-up shoes not Jazz—style shoes etc.

Hair styles:  Hair in terms must be clean and neatly styled short. All boy students must not have side-burns, below the level of the ears.

For girls:      Hair which is shoulder length or longer must be tied back at all times so that the hair must not touch the collar. No hair should be allowed to fall across the eyes or to cover the face.   Extreme hair styles are not permitted. It would be advisable to have their hair plaited or woven in two plaits.

P.T. Uniform:- Please refer to page 18 of the school diary . It is compulsory that all students must purchase the P.T. uniform as prescribed by the school from the new session 2013-14.

We look forward to your continued cooperation and support.

With best wishes,

Yours faithfully.
