By many measures for a high school 50 years is a long time. I have found myself thinking often about what 50 years means for Don Bosco Academy, Patna. As Indiana Jones put it, “It’s not the years, it’s the mileage.”  There’s a good bit of truth to that. More significant than the number of years is what Don Bosco Academy, Patna has accomplished. That has truly been remarkable.

For 50 years, Don Bosco Academy,  Patna experience has given our students a world that is smaller in terms of access, larger in terms of possibility, and richer in terms of cultural awareness and understanding. Don Bosco Academy,Patna students have gained new perspectives and developed new horizons. Cooperative partnerships are enabling us to broaden opportunities and experiences for the students.

In 50 years, Don Bosco Academy,Patna has gone from being an inspired vision to a nationally recognized School. We have grown from a small school with a few dozen students to a learning community of students from all over India.

Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society.  

At Don Bosco Academy, Patna the talents, skills, and abilities of each student are identified, nurtured, and encouraged so that he / she is able to reach greater heights. We provide students with a platform to think, express, and exhibit their skills. It is necessary to empower them to negotiate several issues that confront them, with our teachers being facilitators.

While academic excellence is our major thrust, the school is also devoted to prepare the students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially relevant.

Our parents are the most strengthening power in moulding the future of children. Their consistent support empowers us to do more. I pay my gratitude to them for their faith in us. 

On this momentous occasion of Don Bosco Academy, Patna, Golden Jubilee – completion of 50 Years, through Incredible people, an inspired place, and a consistent vision have helped us steer a course that has enabled Don Bosco Academy, Patna to grow, prosper, and fulfil its mission.

I wish to express my deepest gratitude to those who have given their time, talent, and resources to bring us to this moment.  I thank the Principal & my entire administrative colleagues  for their yeoman service to this institution over the last 50 years, every member of the Faculty, Non-Teaching and Support staff for their dedicated service and helping Don Bosco Academy, Patna reach the heights it has achieved.
